Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds in Water by In-Tube-Extraction Gas Chromatography Ion Trap Mass Spectrometry
30 Oct 2008: This study developed an analytical method using ITEX and the Varian 240-Mass Spectroscopy Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer for VOCs and compared results to a standard purge-and-trap (PAT) reference method, USEPA Method 524.2. The EPA method has specific quality control parameters for reproducibility, accuracy and method detection limit (MDL), providing an excellent standard point of reference for the evaluation of the ITEX technique.
